Re: [AlpacaTalk] Herbal

I'd like to remind everyone of the fungus that came through the Northwest several years ago. We lost one and almost lost another to it. It presented as pneumonia that was non responsive to antibiotics. Just something to consider.

Shari, and the Group,

My apologies!!  This was supposed to go privately to Janice. :)

To answer your question Shari, my vet has him on dexamethasone ( spelled it wrong before ), she said it was like he has asthma ( sp?) or COPD.  Listening to him breath at his nose, he could whistle a tune.  looking at his sides, as he is breathing, it looks like rapid breathing, cuz he cant get enough air. I believe she said his lungs were not clear.

Hope this helps.

Does the problem seem like it's from a stuffy nose, a lung issue or what? There's homeopathy that can help but a bit more specifics would help.

Hi Janice,

Turns out my mini stallion, Macho, has trouble breathing.  Vet has him on 2ml of dexamasone or some thing like that, once a day ( it was 4ml for a week before ). I am wondering if you know of anything herbal that would help him breath easier?  I am sure there is something, but dont know just where to look!!  :)

Thanks for your help!
