Re: [AlpacaTalk] bedding

We have dirt floors in our shelters. And yes, they do love to poop in there! We don't use any bedding, generally, but we do often put down some Dry Den and Stall dry on the poop areas to help with cleanup.

I have a barn with a dirt floor and have been using pine shavings in the stall as they love to poop in there.

I only have rescues and do not show them so I don't mind that it gets in their coats, but wonder if there are any problems with
the shavings? I am treating one for an eye infection and some sort of foot problem.

What do you, who have dirt floor barns use if anything?
AND, do you think the shavings could be the cause of these problems?
