            You can imagine my surprise when told honey is the best product to “push” a prolapsed vent back into a chicken.  Since then, I have heard of many many uses for honey, besides hot biscuits and tea!

Hi Everybody,

 

Do not forget that Honey is a great “salve” for wounds.  It clears the swelling, keeps it clean, is soothing---and helps speed healing.  I have used it on alpaca wounds that would not close easily---and on puppy paw pads too.  Honey does not hurt when you put it on---and the more natural your honey, the better.
