If you want to send them to AFCNA please do so.  We will sort and grade it and see what is usable for some of our developing products.  All fiber is valuable and we will continue to search for those avenues.

I think the demand for that type of fiber is pretty much over at this point.  At AFCNA, we've worked closely with the Matter of Trust folks and they tell us that at this point there is no continued need for fiber.  Since the Gulf oil spill was the only one of such magnitude that fiber was being sought, I don't believe any other agency or organization in any other area of the country has expressed any need for donations.  Perhaps you might invest in some burlap and make up some dog beds to sell for Christmas. That's what I'm doing with my 3rds this year. :-)

Good Morning Folks,
I am wondering if anyone knows of an organization CURRENTLY taking 2nd, 3rds, fiber for use in oil absorption ? When I contacted Matter of Trust, I was put on a waiting list since they said they had more than they needed and I would be contacted when they can take it. We really did not want to go through the winter with these bags of fiber hanging around. Anyone know of another group ?? or any ideas ?
