Janice - Can you cancel the check or contact your bank about being overcharged? This happened to me with a chiropractor (not licensed, my stupidity for not checking) for my horse and I reported him to the Vet Associations. Cuts do happen but we have never had ONE in FIVE YEARS. The shearers NEED to go slow - it may seem advantageous to have it all over with quickly, but that's always when animals are cut. The slower shearers don't cut them if they are good. Alpacas have very thin skin compared to other animals and should not be sheared quickly.
