            Unless I misunderstood, this method of condensing the fiber in the bag is for shipping it to the mill, not storage.  I store mine in “breathable bags” until I am ready to either ship or carry to the mill.  I believe the fiber should not be stored in an airtight container for long periods of time.

Laurel - that's the first I've ever heard of removing the air from fiber bags and storing them that way.  Is that because of moths?  I always poke holes in my bags to allow them to breathe - should I not be doing that?  Thanks for any tips,
