[AlpacaTalk] Pet peeve

 

Alright. First of all, I don't like the term "pet peeve." :)

But here's a thing that annoys me A LOT!

On the big websites like AlpacaNation and OpenHerd, I see a lot of
alpacas with the heritage wrong. I don't know how much is done
purposely, for more views, or if it's accidental. But listing an
animal, in their description as, for example, full Alianza, but then
selecting "Full Bolivian" in the drop down heritage selection deals,
is just wrong.

If you are trying to get more views for your animal, someone looking
for full Bolivian is not going to really want that full Alianza animal.

And I'm only using that as an example because it happens to me all
the time in my searches.

So, really, it's so easy to look at your animal's registration or
look them up on ARI and get it right. And you'll get the right people
looking at your animals, and they won't be put off your farm by your
listing of animals' heritages incorrectly. I know I'm in no rush to
buy from a farm that can't get even that right...
