Re: [AlpacaTalk] hard lump on lower lip

My first though is bee, wasp, or hornet stings, too. Definitely keep an eye on it. We had a girl develop an enormous abscess on her cheek and jaw literally overnight, and all we can think of is that she was stung by something. She was normal one day, the next morning her check was the size of a grapefruit.

Really gross, and required flushing and draining every day until it was healed.

Just went out to let my guys out to graze in the yard and get them out

were already going out and she wouldn't stand for me to inspect, but did
get a feel - very hard, not hot. She is chewing her cud and grazing.

Any ideas what it might be? and what I should do?

Thanks! Janice
