We shear crias unless it is a winter birth then they get sheared in the spring with mom.
Shearing in the spring and summer allows the cria to get some sun to the skin and convert this to vitamin D.

Good for staight legs and strong bones and overall health.
Livestock suffer from some of the same maladies as we do.
