Tooth grinding is often a sign of pain. He may have had a condition of some kind that caused him pain and could account for the aggression.. Thanks for the condolences. Yes, we had hoped to use him for breeding in the future. We still have the two younger males that we hope to use someday. He had a beautiful fleece and size on him. Wonderfully straight back and legs. The grinding of his teeth really got to me. We had a male guinea pig that would grind his teeth when agitated and that is what it reminded me of.
