The hay bale feeder is very simple. I have a web page just for those. But basically, they're 1 inch or so longer and wider than a bale of hay. Our hay bales are about 4'x 18" wide x 16" high. So the hay box is ... well 4' long because that's how wide plywood is, and about 20" wide and 18" high. The legs add 2-3". We make them to be as efficient as possible with the lumber, as little waste as possible. :)

We've also made some low feeders so crias can get to the hay. I'll post pics and dimensions to the web page soon.

LOVE it, Heather!  What a great idea!  I can never find the pix people refer to on the site.  I also love your hay bale boxes, what a neat idea!  I've been trying to create a plan to make feeders but like yours better than anything I came up with.  Neat!
