alpacas: [AlpacaTalk] Straining cria

I have a cria born Friday late morning who is straining. She got an enema Sat morning -- couldn't find any meconium (and you know how you can search for beans and never find them anyway!) and I thought she got it all out. Saturday she had an orangish/brown bean on her tail, so figured she was going. Yesterday afternoon, noticed she was really really straining and not producing a bean, so she got another enema and also about 5-6 cc of karo....and I am supplementing her. Mom 'looks' like she should have milk, but I don't think is really making much. Also, this cria got 12 oz bovine colostrum on Friday since I couldn't get anything but a drop from Mom after about 4 hours. After the colostrum, she's been getting about 2 oz of whole cow's milk every 2 hours except during the night. She nurses Mom frequently, but her nursing behavior makes me think she isn't getting much. (Mom is now getting lactation herbs and following a several minutes of 'making the rounds nursing', I at least can get squirts of milk from her) Weight wise, she was 14.8 at birth, Saturday and yesterday and this morning 15.4. She's been stalled a lot with Mom due to the sun and heat, but I'm changing my tack today and they're with the herd...I also figured she might not be getting enough exercise, so some running might make things break loose, so to speak. Anyway, just wondering what the collective wisdom might be here. She did run when I let them out this morning, but I have seen her with her back legs thrown out this morning and concerned that she hasn't produced more beans. In part, wondering if another 5-6cc of Karo would be okay, but sure don't want her going the other direction and getting the squirts!
