[AlpacaTalk] RE: shivering dam
<<<I commend you for putting your long johns away.......I have a mixture
of summer and winter clothes begging me to sort through them and put the
cold things away (except for the few I keep out just in case) and nicely
arrange the summer in drawers and hangers.....
.maybe by July!!
Thanks,
Susan>>>
A couple of years ago I didn't get my summer clothes out and winter
clothes put away until Labor Day week-end; I questioned why I was even
taking the time/trouble to do so at that late date, but it stays hot
here until into Nov usually, so I figured I needed them, I had spent the
summer just digging thru storage boxes to find something to wear,
actually just wore the same thing all summer - didn't even care at that
point. That's how crazy busy life was every single day. Things are
better this year......I already have my winter clothes put away and my
summer things out Yipee! Life is finally starting to settle down a bit
after a rough couple of years. Alpacas are sheared, shots are given,
fecals done, worming done, teeth trimmed (thanks for all the guidance
along those lines), electric fence installed - just need to do a few
finishing touches this weekend, and the garden, well the garden is not
yet planted - oh well. But now I ahve baby chicks hatching out, 3 baby
miniature ducks coming here to live this week and I have to build some
sort of nursery for them all since the 10x10 enclosed pen I usually
raise the birds in until they are big enough that the cats won't bother
them is now being assinged to the Pyr puppy I am picking up this
week-end! AND I got the call last night that my bee hives are loaded
and ready to pick up. Geez, I must be an insane person :-).
So glad to hear your girl is doing better Susan. I know what a relief
that is.
Warmly, Janice, hoping to plant this week-end....
puppy fun!
