I always have grass hay out free choice for all my alpacas, as do the 3+
farms around me. I go through +/- a bale/day for 7 alpacas (3 piggy cria, 3
preggos, 1 maiden) and a fat llama during the winter and about a bale/week when
grazing is good. Pasture is way richer, so, if you have a particular fatty,
you should try to limit their pasture time instead.
