Re: [AlpacaTalk] hi from a new member
Hi Pam! Welcome!
Not all alpacas will take treats. But those of ours that do, love
carrots, apples, pears, (we have apple and pear trees in the
pastures). I also give them watermelon rind when we have watermelons.
I had a PR boy who used to love 'Nilla wafers and Pepsi. Really,
anything we took into the pastures, he'd want a sample. It got to
where he'd sniff our pockets to see what we had for him!
I don't recommend feeding sodas and sweets to alpacas, obviously, but
just about any fruit or vegetable is a good treat. :)
