hi Flossie - this is another great idea you have - now i am watching for dog coats at garage sales, as well as looking forward to making my own, using a pattern. It is so wet here i would like to have a number of coats on hand so i can change them often and keep my babies dry. That's what happens when you live in a swamp.

I have heard others use kids vests from yard sales and whatnot. Never tried
