[AlpacaTalk] Advertising

Hi everyone. It's me in my Moderator cap tonight.

This is the part I really don't like. I enjoy the conversation and the
exchange of ideas and information, but I just do not like having to
"Bring Out the Rules".

So here it is. Please do not advertise farm stores, farm store
openings, alpacas for sale, herd sire services for sale, guard dogs for
sale, farms for sale, alpaca fleece products of any kind for sale,
fleece accessories of any kind for sale (including moth prevention),
website services for sale or hire.. Please do not advertise stuff for
which one party will benefit!

I personally have no problem with Ellie Winslow's seminars and books.,
etc. advertised. Yes, Ellie does personally and solely benefit from
those sales, but EVERYONE can benefit from attending her seminars or
from reading her books.

I welcome pre- and neo-natal clinic seminars. Everyone who attends
those will benefit.

I don't mind so much the DTTR postings.

But really most other things, like the current "Press Release"
regarding the farm store opening is just a sales ad. If it was a
mistake, no problem. Please don't post those messages on this group in
the future. I have accidentally posted sale or breeding ads myself,
here, so I know they really can be mistakes. But please try very hard
not to repeat those kinds of posts!
