[AlpacaTalk] Tis the cold season for alpacas!
It is funny to think of an alpaca having a cold, but, they do and
they can get runny noses and coughs just like we humans. I was at my
job and was cleaning and heard an alpaca cough, it was pretty loud.
I was helping my husband to trim hooves today, and when we did
Cocoa's hooves, he just laid his head on my shoulder and I gave him
lots of kisses while he stood there. He is my favorite alpaca there
on the place, hands down. I hope that they never sell him, cause I
would just cry.
Well, it was cute to see little Diamond being introduced to the rest
of the babies and mamas, with his birth, that makes eight total crias
now that we have on the farm. 6 white babies, 1 reddish-brown, and 1
suri that it fawn over white.
The new puppy that they got is a riot to have around and he used to
take the alpaca food dishes out to the field and play with them and
then it became not so funny when we went to feed the alpacas and had
to chase down food bowls, he got his butt slapped for doing it. He
was also shown the dish and told very sternly <NO>!
The couple that owns the place are some of the nicest people that you
could ever hope to meet.
