[AlpacaTalk] Re: First alpacas

Hi everyone - thank you all for being so supportive! I feel very
confident about buying Clover now. Reading through your emails was
relaxing and I guess thats what I hope to feel around my alpacas too.
I am in no hurry and hopefully they will pick up on that too.

I was very interested to read and to hear that unlike dog training -
where the dog gets at least 50% of the "training", alpaca training is
more like - 95 % handler getting the training and 5 % alpaca - but
even this 5 % seems to be too high - its more like the alpaca gets
used to systems and activities and if they trust you they will
tolerate stuff - hope I have this about right.

Anyway, I will let you all know! My sheep are about the have their
lambs, I then need to wean the lambs and move them on before I can get
my alpaca to our property.
