I'll get the details from my vet. It was her suggestion after we had one case of anaphylactic shock post regular AD/E shot-bad thing is the animal didn't even need it, just seemed to be the "thing" to do! We saved her using my husbands' epi pen, and then some long acting steroids to override the reaction. After that and the article that followed shortly in ALpacas Magazine about the other reactions to AD/E, she prescribed the compounded solution. I"ll call her in a week or so, to get details on ordering. This was my lesson on the "less is better and if they don't need it don't do it!" herd management. But I will always vaccinate for CD&T. After watching helplessly, while that little cria suffered horribly from a clostridial infection, I will never have it happen again because I didn't stay on schedule with the shots.
