Hey anona, we have both llamas and alpacas. The cria can be registered with
the ILR as a crossbred, not a llama as it's not any more a llama than an
alpaca. It will certainly make someone a nice pet, but it cannot be shown
as a llama OR alpaca. We are talking strickly a pet here. With the prices
of purebred llamas of good bloodlines being um... so reasonable these days,
a crossbred won't recoup much of that stud fee. If you are lucky, someone
will give it a good home and enjoy it... ellen/colrain
